The Well Wishers - twenty-four-seven

The Spinning Jennies have a new band: They are now known as the Well Wishers. They sound a whole lot like Spinning Jennies.( The sound on this disc is also very heavy POSIES!) One can also hear a touch of Matthew Sweet for good measure along with SHOES. But in short, this is a MUST for all fans of early POSIES (especially DEAR 23 era POSIES) A great cd and certainly a highlight for this year! On the way fab NOT LAME label!

The WELL WISHERS - Under The Arrows

New 2005 release on the magnificent NOT LAME label. This is the bands sophmore cd and it eclipses the debut by simply being an even better album! The first cd was excellent but this is better than before. If you recall what a great band the SPINNING JENNIES were, you will want to pick up new THE WELL WISHERS cd because its basically a very similiar band but under a new name. And the sound? ...think heavy duty POSIES circa "Frosting on the Beater" with a dash of SHOES, and a smudge of TEENAGE FANCLUB. It's solid, it's all good, and sounds just great. One of the better releases to come out in 2005!

The WELL WISHERS - HOW I WON THE WAR...WITHOUT EVEN TRYING

This band was formerly known as THE SPINNING JENNIES. They are now called THE WELL WISHERS and this is their new cd for 2007! If you are a Spinning Jennies fan then you should pick this up now. For those who wanna know what this sounds like, think of: The Posies, Matthew Sweet, Fountains of Wayne, and Shoes. If I could only compare this cd to one album, I would say it sounds at times alot like The Posies "Dear 23" which also happens to be my favorite album by that band! GRADE A !
